“You’ll see it when you believe it.” That was Dr. Wayne Dyer’s very famous quote and for whatever reason, it popped into my head recently and wouldn’t leave me alone. We’re raised with the idea, ‘I’ll believe it when I see it,” which sets up a stance of, “prove it” as well as doubt and resistance. How can you receive generously if you’re doubting the very thing that you are wanting? By needing proof, you separate yourself from, and become antagonistic to, your desires. The bottom line becomes, “I don’t believe I can have this, nor do I trust it to appear.” What if, instead, you decide to have faith first, and even in the face of obstacles, you choose to believe, without concrete facts. You place yourself in a state of humility and trust, and simply surrender to something outside yourself, to something more. Humility says, even though this has happened a certain way every time, I’m willing to allow it to be different this time. I’m choosing to see it differently. Because sometimes we can’t even fathom how we can make our dreams and desires come true, but the Universe knows how and is ready to support you. Our imagination is one of the most powerful tools we have, as is our desire and choice. So what if, instead of coming from a place of lack, (needing proof, doubts), you believe. You have faith and imagine that the very thing you want is coming to you. You surrender the “hows” and allow the mystery. Choose to believe.
