Expanding Beyond Your Current Perspective

You've probably heard that if there's something you're looking to create, you'll see it everywhere.

For example: if you’re looking to buy a red Honda Civic, all you're going to see on the road are red Honda Civics. Your subconscious shows you what you’re looking for.

The opposite is true as well. When you're trapped in a limited paradigm, you won’t see options outside of your set point. For example: my puppy is enrolled in puppy class, and I thought the first class was just OK. I also knew that the timing didn't work for his cadence, nor mine. So, I decided to sign him up for a different time on a different day.

I still wasn't feeling fully settled with it and a girlfriend of mine reminded me that I have choice- that I can choose that he’s in the perfect class for him and it's the perfect place.

As I started thinking about that, I was drawn to going back on the website to see what other class options there were for him, and wouldn't you know it, there was an early evening class, same time that he usually gets full of energy. He loved the class! Plus, I felt at ease. My nervous system relaxed. Because that time of day is also better for me.

Funny enough, I had looked on their website multiple times, and I never saw that class as an option. Isn't that interesting – I was so trapped in the stress of it all and trying to do it right, while simultaneously being overloaded because I didn't like that first class, that I didn't even see an option that matched both Oliver and me perfectly.

As soon as I booked the class, I had a huge exhale so I knew I was already on the right track, but I couldn't have imagined how good that class would be!

I say this to remind you that there are infinite possibilities around us but if you’re too trapped in a certain perception, you won't see the ease and elegance that's available.

Remember that you always have choice. Remember that you can choose to see something different than how it is, to widen your perspective. Remember to come back to yourself and choose from your power, rather than your fear.

A wonderful exhale awaits!
