Seeing Others in Present Time
I wrote a few weeks ago about how your family may not be able to see you in present time, but do you see them in present time? And not just them, other friends and loved ones?
I made that mistake recently- getting stressed out by something that I assumed (yes, I know the saying!) would happen based on a past incident. But that assumption kept me out of present time and unable to see the person before me as they are in this moment.
I wasn’t being fair to them by keeping them in their box from the past, just as I wouldn’t want someone to do that to me. When I realized that not only had I changed, but they had too, we were able to have an amazing time together. It goes both ways!
So, before you see family, allow the possibility that the relationship can be in present time; especially if you’ve been working on yourself. If the relationship has shifted in a positive way, fantastic. If it hasn’t, that’s okay, just keep yourself in the nowmoment and re-read the blog from Nov 23rd for helpful tips.
