Don’t Outsource Your Intuition
Don’t outsource your intuition.
There are so many teachers, friends, peers, and professionals who will tell you the best way to do things. And while they may be correct at times, they’re also not you.
You know what YOU need best. Regardless of what others think.
I hear from my mom clients that they get shamed a lot for doing what their gut says, versus what’s widely deemed the “acceptable” protocol for children.
Same with clients forging a new path for themselves, separate from their family and how they’d always done things.
But you have to trust yourself first and foremost. Others aren’t living your life and can’t know what’s best for you.
Because that’s a big issue- abandoning yourself to please others.
No more. You know yourself best. YOU’RE in charge of your reality. If someone else judges you, that’s on them.
No one ever says, “Why’d I trust my gut?!” But they do say, “Why’d I listen to (fill in the blank).”
This week, you can ask for advice as needed, but don’t outsource your intuition.
