In addition to all of the chaos I’ve been speaking of, I need to also mention the extremely high levels of negativity right now. We are being bombarded by negativity in the news and on social media; it can get overwhelming and contribute to anxiety and feeling overloaded. It is imperative to take care of yourself right now. I’m going to sound like a broken record, but disconnect from anything negative, take time to be in nature, meditate more, and step away and pause as I told you a few weeks ago. The level of stress out there requires that you give extra love and support to your immune system. Whatever you can do to support yourself physically, will augment the ways you support yourself emotionally. I made a video showing you 2 acupressure points to increase immunity. Use them if you feel something coming on or if you are in the midst of illness, to speed up your healing.

It feels like it’ll never end, all the chaos and uncertainty. We’re not the same; we can’t be after this time of intense upheaval. Much has changed within ourselves at a core level, and much that we haven’t even discovered yet. But that’s not a negative, there’s hope.
Metamorphosis involves destruction. At a recent workshop, Lazaris reminded us that the caterpillar is destroyed to become the butterfly. It’s not pretty what happens inside that cocoon, it is a complete stripping away of one form to become a new. I know you feel this, I sure do. There are many changes taking place in the outer world, but the profound ones are happening within ourselves. What can bring light to this destruction, is knowing that you are being re-built from the ground up. Sure you may not see it all immediately, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t begun occurring. You are becoming the butterfly. Remember this when you feel overwhelmed and lost. The cocoon is dark, but you are being prepared to bust free and once you do, watch out, you’ll be unstoppable. You are beautiful and full of wondrous colors. Your wings may have been folded but soon then will unfurl and you will soar to new heights. So stay strong, stay positive, you are becoming your beautiful butterfly self. When the chaos gets high, the most important thing you can do is pause. I know it seems counter-intuitive to stop all doing, especially when there is so much to do, but that is when it is absolutely imperative to step back and do nothing.
Believe me, I know how hard this is to implement. This past week I had a list that had to be completed in a certain time frame. With one of my to-dos, I pushed, and ended up wasting hours of my time trying to make it work. I even had the passing thought to pause, but I ignored it and I pushed harder because I felt the external pressure of time constraints. When it clearly wasn’t working, in exasperation, I finally stepped back, let go, and asked for help. The next morning, I woke up with a clear vision of a complete change in plans that created an elegant solution. Then as I went to complete part 2 of that to-do, I could feel the need to step back and pause again, and so I did. The final result was so much more perfect than I could have ever imagined, plus it saved me money, and most importantly, it felt so good and right. You’re human, you want to get things done and checked off your list, but if you can pause, breathe, ask for help and walk away for a little, the results will be better than what you thought you needed/wanted. Step out of the mental chaos, trust when your gut says something feels wrong, and then listen to the need to pause. The pause is the Universe protecting and supporting you, and that is when miracles can occur. Balance, we all strive for it, but it’s not a constant, it is ever evolving. Some days you’ll have it, some days you will most certainly not. The key is to become aware of, and recognize when you’re becoming imbalanced.
October falls in the astrological sign of Libra, which is all about balance. This is a perfect time to take stock of your overall picture of balance: giving and receiving, doing and being, taking action and imagining, creating and allowing. Sometimes you’ll need to be on one side of the spectrum for a while; for example, it may serve you to be taking action for days or weeks. But if you’ve been in an intensive time of action, then it’s necessary to create time for rest so that you can catch up to yourself. Oftentimes people create illnesses as a way to slow down- it seems that’s the way we give ourselves permission to stop. Give yourself permission first; give yourself that gift of balance. The same holds true if you’ve been too long in a place of inaction. If you stay still for too long, it can be hard to motivate and get moving. It can also be a place to hide. This week, notice how balanced you are, and where you see imbalances, strive to correct them. You’ll know if you’re too far to one side and you feel off. Claim what you need for yourself; after all, it’s your sanity and health. Take care of yourself first or you’ll be of no use to others. On a separate note (and this is by no means political, I want to make that very clear, as this is a safe space for healing), in my sessions the last 2 days, a few women mentioned feeling unexplained rage. The Kavanaugh hearings have incited incredible rage in the collective consciousness regarding the old paradigm of “power over” and the places women haven’t had a voice. It’s not just women affected, chauvinism destroyed the balance of feminine energy in men as well. So if you feel angry, tired, or short tempered for no reason, most likely you’re feeling all the pain and rage that’s coming to the surface; centuries of mistreatment and silence. Be gentle with yourself. Sometimes just knowing where something is coming from helps. If it gets too intense, do some rage release techniques. You can always reach out if you have questions or need support. Have a beautifully balanced week! |
