Safety is such a big issue for so many of you; truly feeling safe in your body, on the planet, and in your reality. I made you a guided meditation, based off of things I’ve done with some of you in sessions, to listen to during those times of anxiety, overwhelm, when you feel out of control, and are emotionally spinning. It’s 9 minutes long and will help you to center yourself, get calm, and release all that you are negatively holding onto. It is designed to get into the subconscious through the repetition of positive statements.
Listen now, or bookmark it for when you need it most. After listening, let me know if it helped. P.S.- I want to give a shout out to Marisa Imon for her beautiful music.

It’s so much easier to be gentle on ourselves when we have all the answers. I know I speak from experience that I am much more forgiving of myself when I know the reason for my i.e. crabbiness or fatigue. But sometimes, we could simply be at the effect of the collective group energy on the planet, atmospheric electromagnetics and solar flares, a high pollen count, or environmental pollutants. I spoke of this briefly in my email last week; our bodies are being inundated from everything going on. It’s important to recognize this so that you don’t take it personally when you feel off for no reason, and think that something is wrong with you. In addition to the list above, human beings are spiritually being upgraded and transformed on a cellular level and this is intense for our bodies. Parts of us that were dormant are being reawakened.
So choose to have compassion and self-love first, and lead from those, even if you don’t know why you’re experiencing certain things. If you remember that you are made up of particles of energy, it would make sense that external energies would affect you. You have a choice as to how to deal with this, and as hard as it can be some days, be kind to yourself. When you really realize how amazing your body is and what it filters and deals with everyday, you need to thank it for supporting you as best it can. Because then from that place of self-love and kindness, you can move forward, empowered to find solutions, or simply have compassion, towards what you are experiencing. And if you are being greatly affected, then take the time to simply be and nurture yourself. You are valuable, treat yourself as such. Not everyone is going to like you. This is a hard thing to swallow for the people pleasers out there, but it’s true. You are not everyone’s cup of tea, nor do you want to be. Just like you don’t vibe with everyone, they may not vibe with you. And that’s OK! That is safe. It’s safe to have people out there who just don’t like you. You can’t please everyone so don’t even try. You will lose yourself in the process if you do.
The goal is to be the best version of yourself without the constraints, programming, and patterning from childhood, your family, your community, and your environment. The goal this lifetime is to become more authentically you, the true you. And that may mean that some people don’t like you or they judge you. You know what, they are going to judge you anyway so why not be true to who you are? It’s not fun to live a life defined by others. The world wants to see you, the real you. What makes you sparkle? What makes you unique? I’m a dork, I don’t hide it. I snort, I like super hero movies, I get jazzed by books that take place in other realms and worlds, I’m goofy, and I talk to myself. I’ve very airy and metaphysical. Simultaneously, I’m a firecracker and a Momma Bear. Don’t mess with anyone I love. I know my rage, and work with it safely, and responsibly. Those three areas are seemingly very different, and yet, they are all me: Momma Bear, magician, and dork. If I tried to fit in a nice little box to make others comfortable, I’d lose my mind. I allow the full range of colors in me. And that’s the aim, to be all versions of you without limiting yourself, without having a rigid view of who you must be in the world. Because in order to see the world through the eyes of continual joy, you have to be your real self, not the version that is acceptable to your parents, or friends, or partner. The world is so filled with people pretending to be someone they’re not, take a risk and feel safe being you. People will not recoil in horror, as your negative ego wants you to believe, nor will they abandon you. And let me tell you, if they do, good friggin riddance. You are so beautiful, don’t hide your authenticity. Own all the various parts of you with glee, proudly proclaiming your truth. For fun, write me back and share with me what makes you, you. I will support you and be your cheerleader in that. We all need someone who accepts us fully as we are, let me be that for you. Own your light, own your truth. It’s so much more fun when you do. “Progress, not perfection.”
This is a motto that Marie Forleo* stresses all the time. It’s quite brilliant because perfection is the antithesis of creativity. I know for myself, sometimes I want to do something perfectly and then I melt down if it’s not perfect. That or I don’t do anything on a creative project because I’m afraid it won’t be perfect. Either way, allowing perfection to control the creative process is detrimental and completely opposite of what creativity is: a way to express yourself and your soul. So what does progress mean? It means taking it one step at a time. Doing what you are able to in the moment, without getting lost on the end result and how you want it to look. Take whatever little steps you can towards your goal, without being paralyzed as to how you will ever accomplish it all. You won’t if you’re overwhelmed. Here’s a secret, overwhelm is a tool the negative ego uses to stop you. Think about it, if you’re overwhelmed, you either don’t do anything or you aren’t present to what you actually do because there’s so much else to get done. Both options prevent you from owning your power in your body, in present time. A great example of progress would be if you wanted to begin a meditation practice. You would completely sabotage yourself if on day one, you expected perfect focus, a quiet mind, and the ability to do it for a half hour. That’s unrealistic. Instead, aim for one minute; focused breathing for one minute. If you can do that, the next day, add more time; and so on and so forth. You cannot expect perfection on anything that you are just learning or anything you are starting to create. Progress is having perseverance through daily small actions. Many little steps lead to big changes. It does not have to be huge chunks of time, but it does need to be consistent to see the results you’re after. Think of yourself like an athlete. To run the marathon, you would train daily. You know the big picture, but you focus on what you can accomplish that day. It is exactly the same with a creative project, or a new vision you have for your life. And let me clarify that creativity isn’t limited to the arts. Creativity encompasses learning new skills, having a new vision for your life, redesigning your living space- really anything can be creative. Don’t limit yourself to thinking that I’m talking about painting a picture or writing a book. Do what you can now in service of your goal. Don’t wait. One step at a time. Trial and error. See what works, and what doesn’t. Perfection will only sabotage you and take you off track. Instead, stay in the now and do what you can. Feel the sense of accomplishment with every step, propelling you excitedly towards the next step. You can always edit, you can always re-do. Nothing is set in stone. Allow yourself the freedom to explore, create, and learn unencumbered. Progress, not perfection. Happy creating! (* if you don't know Marie, she's great, google her) |
