Over a month ago, I was on the receiving end of a brief, but nasty, verbal psychic attack. It took me a bit to get over the shock, yet once I did, beyond clearing the energy, I processed and released all of the various emotions around it, forgive myself for why ever it was in my reality, and then let it go.
Or so I was hoping.
It came back around a few weeks later when a friend had a similar experience with the same person and wanted to talk about it. Instantly, my attention went right back to the situation and people involved; I started over-thinking and focusing on it. But all that did was feed it; feed the negativity, feed the upset.
I decided to not speak of the incident again, not from an escapist viewpoint, but from the viewpoint of, "I choose to focus elsewhere, on things that are positive." I was also reminded of the saying that “energy flows where attention goes.”
As I was pondering this, I needed to water my outdoor plants. I thought about attention being like gardening; if you stop feeding the plant water/attention, it dies. I imagined the issue becoming dehydrated of all lifeforce without my attention or energy, and then literally just disappearing.
Sometimes, simply the act of no longer feeding an issue energetically, causes it to cease to exist. And sometimes, a dead plant needs to be ripped out. Once you’ve processed everything you need and the issue is truly dried up and dead, imagine pulling out the experience/memory and watch it dissolve. Then replace it with a positive image of what you'd like to see instead.
This week, become aware of what you’re feeding with your attention; is it something you desire to grow into a magnificent giant oak, or is it something that’s been slowly poisoning you, becoming life sucking vines swirling around your space?
You’re in charge of what you put your attention on, so if you’ve got a giant oak of something that you don’t want anymore, chop it down. Stop feeding it. Rip off those poisonous vines. No one is going to do it for you, you need to do it for yourself.
With spring coming, be ruthless in your spring cleaning, but do it internally. It can be helpful to put post-it notes around your house with what you do choose to focus on because if you keep telling yourself not to focus on something, that’s all you’ll see. You need to fill your mind with something you choose to see instead.
See radiant health, see energy and vitality, see money pouring in, see that brilliant new job, see a healed relationship, see incredible love. Create a new garden, one that can nourish you for years on end!
Oracle Cards for Spring Equinox
It’s that fun time again that you all love, Oracle Cards! They've been chomping at the bit to be pulled for you all, so post Spring Equinox is the perfect time.
I asked what each person who picked, i.e. card number one, needed to know or needed to heal during these next few months until Summer Solstice.
Before choosing: breathe, center yourself, get out of your head, open to your gut intuition, then pick a number between 1-4.
If you always choose a specific number, don’t automatically pick it; allow yourself to be led to the message/number you most need right now.
As I’ve told you before, if your card doesn’t resonate, dig deeper. There’s a reason you pulled it, don’t just dismiss it. Why did you pick that one; what part of you has a message there? And if it does resonate, great!
Happy picking and may your number bring you clarity and insight!
The Subjectivity of Time
This topic has been coming up a lot in sessions lately, so I wanted to talk about it:
Time is not a straight line; it circles and does loop de loops. Our minds want to believe it’s straight, but that concept was introduced post Celtic era. Prior to that, the circular nature of time was understood. Why is this important? Because when you tap into the true nature of time, you understand that you can expand or shrink it; it’s not static.
Think about this: for some people, a minute can take an eternity if they’re waiting to hear the news regarding certain results or a diagnosis, whereas for another person who has a deadline, that minute may fly by and not be enough time to get something done.
On the flipside, somebody who knows how to utilize time may find that in that minute, they're so involved in their creativity that they’re shocked that it was only a minute because they expanded time to be more like five minutes within one minute.
You can play with this while driving as well. If you’re running late, ask your unseen team to please bend time to help you arrive safely on time. The key is to breathe and trust. If you stay too amped up trying to control it, your fear and panic will over-ride the support. Surrender to the fluidity of time and see yourself pulling up to your destination calmly, with a smile on your face.
If you’re stressed for time, step away from what you’re doing to breathe and ground for a few minutes. I know it seems counterintuitive, but stepping away for a moment is usually exactly what you need to gain clarity and insight. It re-sets your system and expands time, thereby helping you come back centered and working with time, versus forcing it.
When you say you can’t afford that mini reprieve, you’re telling yourself there’s “not enough” time and what do you think happens in a “not enough” mindset? You guessed it; you fulfill that prophecy. If instead you say, “I have more than enough time to…” then you open to abundance and time expands for you.
As for utilizing time to actualize your goals, you need to get firm with yourself and prioritize what’s important so that you use time effectively and efficiently. Write down your list of what you want to accomplish and as you number your list in order of importance, start at number one and do not let yourself go to number two until your number one goal is complete. Maybe you have a few goals happening simultaneously, but always devote time to your main one first, before anything else. This is where you need to silence your phone, remove distractions, and concentrate your attention.
If your goal is more creative time, then schedule it just like you would schedule anything else. If it’s not written down, you may find an excuse to avoid it. When that time arrives, treat it with respect and focus, just like anything else that’s scheduled.
Only you can create a positive relationship to time, so even if there are some things that are set, such a work hours or family time, there are other hours that you can use for your enrichment. Notice where you waste time, where time flies (if in a negative way, ground yourself), where you get stressed by it, and take your power back. Then create a new way of looking at time, using it in your favor.
As Marie Forleo says, “There’s always enough time for what matters most.”
Choosing The Light
I’ve told you this before, but it bears repeating, especially with the situation in the Ukraine:
Your thoughts matter.
Your words matter.
The vision you have for the world matters.
When you’re stuck in blaming and complaining, you perpetuate a frequency of powerlessness. But you’re not powerless.
Yes, you can get angry, yes express your fears, yes process through everything you’re feeling, and then take your power back. Be the light for those enmeshed in darkness; send them light, send the situation light.
Be in your center, and in your power. Watch your judgments and any desires to be righteous and let those go. Choose to hold the space for healing, for peaceful resolution. You are most effective when you emanate a frequency of love; do this for all involved. Declare what you desire to see instead of pain, instead of suffering, and feed that positive outcome.
You affect the whole. You can say you’re just one person but what if everyone said that? Instead, be the person who has hope. Who holds the light of hope even when things seem dark. Who sends the light to the places that most need it. Who imagines that light being like a flashlight, driving out the darkness.
It’s up to you how you create the future; it can be dark, or it can be filled with light. The choice is yours. Will you join me in the light?
Me, Tina Germain, just sharing ways to make you the best you can be!
