I want to address a big fallacy: that the more filled with light you are, the more the dark will try to harm you.
When someone who’s seemingly so wonderful gets taken down, the consensus is that they were so bright, that that’s why they got attacked energetically. That their light attracted the darkness.
That’s a total lie! It’s your belief system that draws negative energies/people to you, not how light and bright you are.
What a perfect way to control a person; than to make them believe that their light attracts darkness. What a great way to keep someone feeling small and powerless.
The dark, energies and people, hate when you’re happy and laughing, they won’t want to be around you. Dark energies/people aren’t moths to a flame, that flame could burn away their darkness/pain and if someone is entrenched in theirs, they’ll avoid the light at all cost. They may try to tear you down at first, but if you don’t allow it, if you stay empowered and grounded in your light, they’ll go away.
When you own your light and your empowerment from your core, that becomes a radiance that is more powerful than any darkness around you. Think of a flashlight or a candle in a dark room: the darkness can't overtake the light; the light eradicates it.
Eileen McKusick says, “Let your radiance be like a bug zapper for bad energy.” This will also help you from getting into the victim mentality that other’s darkness can bring you down.
I’ve made a game of this at times; if someone’s super crabby, I’ll kill them with kindness and be extra happy. I used to do this a lot when I waited tables. Why? Because am I going to allow pissy people in my reality to ruin my mood? Hell no, I’m not giving them that power.
Look, that’s not always possible and sometimes people get under your skin, but when you can, in your head say, “No, I don’t allow you to ruin my day/energy.” And in those cases, just be happy as a clam. Either they’ll go away because they don’t want to be around you, or they’ll transform. Which is ultimately very satisfying, but not always possible. You can’t take someone else’s mood personally because you don’t know what’s going on in their reality.
Negativity cannot stick to you when you keep your vibration clear and strong. Yes it can impact you, but you can kick it out easily if you refuse to allow it to drag you down. You are in charge of your energy; don’t let someone else mess with it. Shine your light even brighter.
Me, Tina Germain, just sharing ways to make you the best you can be!
