If I’ve done my job this year, then you’re starting to feel/own more of your light.
You realize that you’re not your body, but a magnificent being of light. You know that no one has power over you, except the power you give them. You realize to question everything and adapt it for you. You’re owning more of the truth that you are enough and you’re owning more of your worth. You’re understanding that The Divine is in you, not outside of you. That all of your answers are within. And it’s safe to trust your gut. My hope is that you’re waking up to the beliefs and lies that have kept you enslaved and shackled in any form. That anything your mind or anyone/anything external says about you not being enough or being powerless or not mattering is a lie- one meant to keep you under control. As you own your light and who you truly are, you’ll be free on a myriad of levels and that threatens your negative ego and anyone invested in your subservience. But you no longer fit in the box you’ve been in. You’re more than that. You don’t need to be defined by your limitations, instead begin to define yourself by your love, by your caring, by your desire to see/do good in the world. Yes it’s great to achieve but you’re not your achievements; you’re your inner growth, conscious awareness and evolution. Your value lies within, not without. And simultaneously to all this, you’re human so you will make mistakes. That used to be an idea of horror to me; the need for perfection to feel safe and not humiliated was huge. But that’s not life. The key is how you handle your mistakes and are they really mistakes or opportunities for growth? Can you change your perspective on that? When you own all facets of you, your light and your dark, and you send more and more light to the dark places within, you shine like a diamond. Yes you’ll still feel grief, pain, and anger etc. because you’re human!! It’s part of the package. And you can allow more fun, freedom, and love because that is part of it too. Loosen the bonds around you, open to more of the light and what you do want to experience. Take your attention away from you don’t want and put all your focus on what you do want. This is a time of increased consciousness, allow it in and shine.

I have absolute faith in the future. Unwavering and complete faith. I have total faith in the world becoming new.
How, you might ask? Because I have chosen it, over and over, and I feed the future I want to see for the world, with not only my energy and attention, but also with my love and light. I know we didn’t come all this way to have things fail. And by “all this way,” I mean lifetimes of soul growth and conscious evolution. I certainly didn’t. We’re birthing a new world. A NEW world. That doesn’t happen overnight. The old Piscean age model of “power over” needs to crumble and be cleared out to make way for a new way of being: one of co-creation and cooperation with each other, and with the planet. I know some of you may not see this. Some of you only see darkness and destruction. You aren’t able to see the light of possibility. Fear has won over your imagination. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Remember, you create your reality. You. Not government leaders, not anything external, you. What do you want to see for the world? And do you want your negative ego/your fear to be in control? Or do you want to choose and consciously look for the light and let that win? It’s a choice. You choose how you see the world. Do you choose to see the problems, or focus on the solutions? I’m not in denial of all that needs healing in our country and the world- not even close. If you’ve followed me long enough, you know that I’m not all love and light. I absolutely remind you that you have got to deal with your own personal darkness and excavate your rage and pain etc. You can’t just go right to a positive attitude if you don’t believe it. If you can only see through the eyes of fear, acknowledge that, work on it, and clear those energies out. If you feel dread, if you feel powerless, if you feel threatened - work through all of them. You’ll see in the world that which mirrors your beliefs. If you’re tied to seeing the dark, what part of you has abdicated power? What part wants to, or is stuck in, seeing the nightmare? What do you get from that path? It might not be pretty: Maybe self-pity- “Omg look how awful others are. Poor me, I live in this dark reality.” Or blame- “I have no say, they’re doing it to me, to the world, it’s their fault.” Or rage that feeds righteousness- “They’re bad and wrong so I need to fight them and punish them back.” These are just a few examples, and none of them are pleasant, but you need to be honest with yourself as to what emotion is holding you, and your imagination, hostage to a negative world view and in a power struggle with darkness. What you struggle with persists, until it’s healed. When you can heal that in you, there will be less of it in the world. That’s part of being the solution. Heal you first and have less darkness in you first. Then go back to your empowerment and faith in what you DO want to see. Of course, that’s not always going to be easy- hello- you’re human – and: Stop giving your power away. Own that you are powerful, and you choose which to feed: the light or the dark. Own your light. And if that scares you, dive into why you’re stuck on you not mattering or being shameful etc. What is the story you want to tell about the world? What is the story you want to tell about your place in the world? Are you a champion of the light, or perpetually fighting the dark, getting mired in it, and exhausting yourself? Just as turning on a light in a dark room eradicates the dark, the more light you are, the less dark that exists. I’m standing for the light. Will you join me? Everything comes down to your worth: what you think you’re worthy of. You will receive in direct proportion to how worthy you feel. Your priorities are based on your worth: are you worthy of your dreams coming true? If so, you’ll make the time to create that which you desire. If not, as Marie Forleo says, “you’ll make excuses.” Your worth is seen in the people you attract; especially romantic partners. If you don’t feel worthy of love, you’ll attract someone unavailable, distant, maybe someone who uses you or just doesn’t give you what you need. At the worst, you'll attract someone abusive. Your worth shows in your health; do you care for your body and feed it healthy things, or do you punish/ignore/drive it? Your worth shows in your self-care; do you care how you look and nurture yourself with niceties or do you think, “why bother?” Your worth shows in how you’re treated at work. Are you respected, or ignored? Or worse, ridiculed? Your worth shows in your finances; are you well compensated for the work you do, or do you allow yourself to be undervalued? Are you wise with your financial decisions, or do you spend/lose money constantly, thus keeping you in debt? Your worth shows in the circumstances/people you attract into your life. Do you attract things/people that elevate your happiness and bring you joy, or are you mired in negativity and surrounded on all sides by unhappy people and circumstances? Worth starts with you. No one can wave a wand and magically bestow worth on you. You need to own and claim it. It’s there, available for you. Only you can decide to receive and live it. You may have been taught that you’re unworthy- that’s a lie by people too enmeshed in their own pain and shame to see the truth. Or by people who desired to control you and make you more easily follow what they said. Whatever “authority” figure told you that, they’re wrong; plain and simple. Do not believe them and keep living in your own pain. Rise above and claim your worth. Everything comes back to worth- everything. So right now, put your hands over your heart, close your eyes, feel into the center of yourself, breath and connect to you. When you’re ready, open your eyes and say to yourself: “I am worthy.” “I am worthy of love.” “I am worthy of happiness.” “I am worthy of financial wealth.” “I am worthy of radiant health.” “I am worthy of my dreams coming true.” “I am worthy of ease and grace.” “I am worthy of laughter and joy.” “I am worthy of being loved and cherished.” “I am worthy of pleasure.” “I am worthy of freedom.” “I am worthy of being heard.” “I am worthy of being seen.” “I am worthy of that job/promotion/raise.” “I am worthy of nice things.” “I am worthy of trustworthy friends and associates.” "I am worthy of relaxation and inner peace." “I am worthy of Divine assistance.” "I am worthy of miracles." “I am worthy of __________”- (fill in the blank with what you most want) “I am worthy, simply because I am!” Now repeat this daily. Print it, and post it on your bathroom mirror. Say it with conviction. Claim what is rightfully yours. You are absolutely worthy- own that!!! Print out for your mirror:
We dove into the dark shadow- now how about the light?
Interestingly, the light can be as scary for some as the dark is for others. Some of you are hardwired to look at what’s not working. And you fix it and you work it, and you fix it some more. You’re always willing to look at your faults and what’s not working. You’re incredibly familiar with your shame and your anger etc. Yes, you may still have stuff in your shadow, but you consistently work at bettering yourself. Now if I ask you about your beauty, your greatness, your gifts and talents, your generosity of spirit, your compassionate heart, or your light, you may dismiss it or deny it. You may want to believe it’s there, but it doesn’t feel right to claim it. Or you may truly think that there’s just so much wrong with you that you have no light. Either way, all of that goodness is in the shadow. It is just as powerful to excavate the light shadow as it is the dark. Try this for a moment, say this statement and let me know if it triggers you: “I am magnificent.” Be aware if your negative ego wants to jump in and take it to the whole extreme of, “Oh yes, I am completely magnificent,” said with arrogance. That’s not what I’m talking about. I mean true ownership of your magnificence and light. You may giggle and think that’s silly- “Ok Tina sure, I’m magnificent.” Said with an eye roll. Yes, you are. Can you own that? Can you own your magnificence? Can you own who you are beyond this body? Can you truly own the light of you? I tell you all the time to be the light, but if you refuse to acknowledge your own light, how can you bring more of the light into the world? Let’s try this, look in the mirror. No excuses, pick up your reading device and walk to a mirror. Are you resisting me? Good- then you need this more than ever. Look yourself in the eyes, acknowledge yourself, and say: “I see you. I see your light. I see your love. You are beautiful.” That might be phenomenally difficult for some of you and it may even evoke tears or wanting to turn away. But it’s time to acknowledge it. And did you even do the exercise, or dismiss me outright and ignore what I asked of you? If so, you just got a big answer. There’s so much darkness that we’re seeing in the world and yes absolutely we need to heal our own dark, but if we only heal our dark, we are lopsided if we don’t simultaneously bring forth and acknowledge the truth of our beauty, love, magnificence, joy, etc. Remember, only the light can heal the darkness. Which means- only your light can heal your darkness. Sit with that. Sometimes we shove aside the light to protect it, especially those who grew up in difficult or abusive households. But as I said last week, there are gradients to everything and it doesn’t take an overtly abusive household to make one hide their light. There’s also a lot of societal messages about not standing out and tamping down your light/uniqueness or, you may have heard, “who do you think you are?”- in relation to what makes you wonderfully you. As you own your light, I’m not saying you suddenly have to be visible to everybody, but you do need to be visible to yourself. You need to be willing to see your magnificence. To tap into that and let that expand. Again I say, in order to be the light, you need to actually be willing to see your light. Without caveat, without diminishing it or limiting how much you’ll see. What about you is filled with light? Take a peek this week and pull it out of the shadow and into your consciousness. The world is waiting. It seems that the worst of humanity is coming out right now. I’m watching friends get attacked for posts that are very calm and loving, people taking advantage of the protests by rioting, lots of shaming of others for trying to be supportive, and incredible righteousness over who’s right/wrong; it’s enough to make you lose faith…
I know many of you are overwhelmed. The energy is remarkably intense and destructive. And yet, in the depths of darkness, in the dimness of the cocoon, the caterpillar is being dissolved to allow it to become the butterfly. Do not give your power to impotence, to thinking there’s nothing you can do. It may seem fluff, but the vision has to start with you; each of us individually owning the reality we want to see and then creating it, one step at a time, one election at a time, to create a revolutionary change at a core level. Each of us healing ourselves and our own violent anger, rage, and pain so that there’s less of those energies in the world. It starts with our individual hearts and minds choosing to see a reality of equality and inclusiveness. Now more then ever, it’s important to use your voice. Your voice matters, you deserve to be heard. Speak for those who cannot speak. Use for your voice for those who have no voice or whose voices have been silenced. You may not literally go out and speak, you can voice it through your art, through your acts of kindness, through the people and companies you support. Through the products you buy and the things you listen to. Through the love you send to the world. And through the declaration to the world, even if done in the privacy of your home, of saying: “Enough! I refuse a reality of exclusiveness. I refuse a reality of domination. I refuse a reality of inequality.” You may feel powerless but you’re not. Never underestimate the power of the imagination. If you can see it in your imagination, you can believe it, and then you can create it and live it. If you don’t create it in your world, how will you see it in the world? I wrote a blog that I posted on Instagram on Sunday and in it, I said that what I do doesn’t feel like enough. I recognized the next morning that I gave my power away to a false idea. My form of voice and power may not look like the way others express theirs, and that’s OK. We need a contrast of strengths to lift each other up. So dream. Dream big. Be powerful in your dreams. Own your visions. Join me and together we can dream into being a world more phenomenal than we can even imagine. Let’s be the visionaries for a new world. I’m holding the light of hope for you, will you accept it? To listen to the audio version of this blog, click here. Perspective is an interesting thing. Sometimes we don’t gain it until after the fact and sometimes we need to have someone point out a different way of looking at a situation other than how we’d been seeing it. Regardless, a change in perspective can be a powerful thing.
I had two different clients one day recently who both had very specific perspectives on their parent’s behavior towards them and on what they thought their parent’s actions meant. Neither was true. And yet their stories were defining them and how they lived their lives. Sometimes we tell ourselves a story because it’s the thing that helps life makes sense. Or it keeps us “safe.” But what are we protecting if we don’t show ourselves the truth? Maybe we’ve hidden the truth of our power, or the fact that we are loved underneath a lie we’ve told ourselves. Also, how much have we needed our parents to be perfect instead of seeing them as fallible human beings doing the best they could? Are we still blaming them versus taking a risk and creating a new way of being? As an example, one client was adopted at birth and assumed they weren’t wanted. They built a life around the idea of not mattering. The truth was, their mom loved them so much, she was willing to have the child in her life for only 9 months before having to give them away to a better family as she lived in an impoverished country and couldn’t care for an infant. Her love was so powerful and the child mattered so much that she was willing to endure the pain of loss to have simply 9 months together. Another person’s dad was always angry and they saw his anger to mean they weren’t good enough. They had a whole story attached to that when really, the dad felt profoundly inadequate that he couldn’t provide properly for his wife and children and since he felt like he was always failing, he lashed out. I’ll add by the way, I’m not condoning his behavior in any way, I’m simply pointing out that he was the one who didn’t feel good enough. My client took on his wounds subconsciously and made them their own. Sometimes we learn the reason’s why and sometimes we don’t. When we don’t, we need to look at it from a different vantage point and contemplate what might’ve actually been going on versus the story we’ve told ourselves. I bring this up now because your light is needed more than ever. It is no longer viable for you to pretend to be other than your luminous self. You came here to bring the light and in order to do that, you need to acknowledge yours first and foremost. Maybe you’ve hidden from yourself the truth that either you truly are lovable, or that you are indeed good enough. Maybe it’s that you do matter or you are powerful. What faulty belief keeps circling your head or actions, obscuring the truth? It’s so much easier to continue believing the lie and putting the blame outward versus having to truly look at what it is about you that makes you radiant. Discover the lie and own the opposite; when you do you become unstoppable. Then you can own the idea that maybe the Universe actually is on your side supporting you. Can you be courageous enough today to start believing a new truth? Just experiment- for the next 30 days truly put everything into the new belief, including forgiving yourself, forgiving the past, and releasing all those involved. Then focus on what you do want to see. You may need to have a talk with your subconscious (click here to remember how), and truly be willing to see your light. In order to bring light to the world, you need to own yours first. Now, on a different note but still on the same topic: in the last week many of you have asked me about some of the conspiracy theories out there. Here’s my perspective: Some might well be true. I say "might" because who knows for certain. I will say for me personally, I've been choosing to feed the light versus delving into the darkness. I did a deep dark dive one evening weeks ago into all kinds of conspiracy theories and man it made me feel awful. I truly felt powerless and dark. That’s when I decided to choose the light. Yes the dark exists. We live in a duality so to think it’s all love and light is deceiving yourself, HOWEVER you can choose to be the light. I am choosing to bring more light and be part of the solution versus going deep into the darkness to fight it or feed it. The light is infinitely more powerful than the dark. The way to defeat the dark is simply to shine more light so it can’t hide, and ultimately dissipates. Do I think that's possible? Absolutely. Remember, you see what you believe. I choose to see a world in which I have power. In which the Universe supports me versus bad guys always coming after me. Some will see the nightmare and some the beautiful dream. There’s room for everyone to co-exist. Which are you choosing? To give you a perspective shift beyond what I wrote about 2 weeks ago, what if you see what’s happening now as the unconscious of the world falling apart? Where all the places people have been unconscious now coming to the light so we can become more conscious and thus, more powerful. Just think about it. That perspective about the unconscious came from Matt Kahn as does this idea: “I help the world find peace faster by focusing on being at peace with myself.” As I always remind you, it starts with you. Find what brings you peace and focus there. Open to new perspectives, release the grips of the past, and start a new story. The world is waiting. I have spoken about this before, but it needs repeating- the light is infinitely more powerful than the dark. Your light is infinitely more powerful than your dark.
It is a lie that if you are bright, bad things will come to you or people will try to take from you. That is purely your negative ego’s way of keeping you small, in fear, and hiding. God/Goddess/Source created it all. If the dark was more powerful than them, there would currently be no light because the dark would’ve already destroyed it. Think about that. If you truly believe the dark is more powerful, then there would be no light at all. There would be no love, no happiness, no joy. They couldn’t exist in the absence of light. This is a planet of free will. The Universe is not going to eradicate the dark because we live in a duality and we learn from the dark. But the light can snuff the dark out. Look what a candle does in a dark room. Does the dark win, or the light? Next time you are tempted to believe that the dark can harm you in any way, take your power back from that belief/fear, and shine your light brighter than ever. Let your light expand to encompass everything around you, like that candle, so that the darkness doesn’t stand a chance. The choice is yours, be the light. Are you spiritual enough?
Now that I got your attention, the answer is unequivocally YES! Spirituality is not a competition, yet it seems that lately people are trying to outdo each other in how well they meditate or visualize or say their mantras. There seems to be an almost disdain if you do conventional exercise over yoga. Now let me say, these things in and of themselves are fantastic, but you can’t feel badly if you don’t do them, or if you’re not drawn to them; everyone has their thing. For some people, it will be chanting, for another, mantra based meditation, for another, focus on chakras. There’s no right or wrong. What works for you? Without guilt! Because if you’re guilted into it, it won’t last. And here’s the other thing, you may only like one technique. That’s OK! You don’t need to prove how spiritual you are by doing a myriad of things. Only do what you know you will be consistent with and that brings you positive results. Anyone who says certain people are more spiritual then others, is in their negative ego. That is not enlightened. We are all equally spiritual, it’s just that some people put more focus on their spirituality. Same with people who use spirituality as an excuse to feel better then another person; that’s certainly not evolved. Just because someone meditates, does yoga, talks to Angels, etc., doesn’t mean they’re better then someone who simply takes the time to be in nature and feel connected. And most certainly, run, run away, from anyone who tells you that their way, is the only way, because that’s a giant lie. There are as many paths to personal growth and evolving as there are people. God/Goddess/The Universe won’t love you more if you do x vs y. Here’s another piece of information that can be hard to digest – just because someone is “spiritual” and doing “spiritual” work, doesn’t mean they’re a good person. There are plenty of people who hide behind the guise of spirituality and are still filled with their negative ego and competition etc. and they don’t actually do the work required to evolve and grow. This one continues to shock me every so often when I go to a workshop filled with people who are supposedly doing the work, and then when you really look closer, they’re stuck in their own rage or blame. So if you ever get a bad feeling, and your instincts are telling you to walk away from a “spiritual” class, leave! Trust your instincts. The Universe doesn’t play favorites. If you’ve been doing the work and you’re not having results, you are not a failure. There may be something deeper that you’re learning, or the outcome will appear in a timing that’s more right for you, and sometimes we’re never supposed to know the why, as maddening as that can be. Keep doing what feels good and trusting that ultimately you will be lead to exactly where you need, with the people who can best help. And also, you’re human. You’re here to learn and grow, not be perfect. What?!!!! Yes you heard me correctly, there is no such thing as perfection, so stop trying to attain it. Just live the best life for you. We all came in with issues to overcome. And they may show up in various ways throughout the years. Just because you worked on your ie: control or self-pity in great detail and suddenly it rears it’s head again, doesn’t mean you haven’t done the work, it means you are now hitting a deeper level to heal. That’s OK! That’s part of being human. Ever evolving, ever growing and changing, while deepening our connection to ourselves and Source energy. And one last thing for those in a personal growth business, you are not a failure if your classes don’t fill up or sell out to the tune of thousands of dollars. Stop comparing yourselves to the new model of success many are touting in the personal growth world. You have a message, a beautiful one, and it deserves to be heard. But trust yourself in how that unfolds. Don’t compare yourself to how others are doing it. This applies to all of you. Stop comparing. You are ENOUGH! You are good enough and OMG spiritual enough so just focus on being the best you that you can possibly be. That’s my go-to phrase and all I focus on. That is all you can control anyway. And when you desire to help others, “do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.” Great quote by Andy Stanley. You got this. You are enough. Own it. The world needs your sparkle. |
